Additional information accompanying item: Included in "Etchings by J. M. Whistler from the cancelled plates." Delâtre was the famous French printer of etchings, by whom the "Twelve Etchings from Nature," in their published states, and many others of Whistler's early etchings, were printed. He was born in 1822 and died in 1907.
