Letter from Theodore Parker, West Roxbury, [Massachusetts], to Convers Francis, 1839 Dec[ember] 6
Description:
Theodore Parker writes to Convers Francis in regards to whether he will attend Emerson's lectures this winter. He writes that, "The first was splendid, better meditation & more coherent than any other." He believes his lecture was probably inspired by Bronson's article on "Democracy & Reform" in the last "Quarterly," plus fractions of Alcott, Dwight, and half of Miss Fuller. He inquires after Francis's opinion of other literature.
