Glasglow friends write to George Thompson in regards to asking why the ties between the Glasgow Emancipation Society and "the old Am[erican].Soc[iety]...should be broken off or suspended or why the Anti-Slavery friends in Glasgow should withold their sympathy & pecuniary aid from the old American Soc[iety] which was soliciting thro'[ugh] their aspirations." They ask for a "brief..answer to our queries."
