Letter from George Thompson, Darlington, [England], to Richard Davis Webb, 1839 January 26
Description:
George Thompson writes to Richard Davis Webb discussing anti-slavery publications in response to a previous letter that Webb wrote. He mentions that [Theodore T.] Weld has prepared a pamphlet on the Bible and a few years ago he published a report on the Manual Labor Schools. He asks him to order and send other pamphlets and publications that "you may yourself deem interesting" to Elizabeth Pease. Thompson includes a list of books at the end of this letter.
