Description:
George Thompson writes to Richard Davis Webb in regards to sending a few lines to Lizzy Poole. He thanks him for the books and asks him to send "everything you deem interesting." He urges the reprinting of Harriet Martineau's article. He mentions that he now works for the "Hindoos."He writes of lecturing in various locations in England. He thinks the American Anti-Slavery society articles should be circulated in England. He says the Irish should rouse up in the anti-slavery cause and asks, "When will the time come when Ireland, no longer distrusted by political & polemical contents, will have her heart affected and sanctified..and engage in a glorious effort to make the world as free from tyrants and oppressions as she is herself from the venomous reptiles of the Earth?"
