George Thompson writes to unknown in regards to lifting John Anderson Collins in his money-raising efforts. He writes, "if you can give Collins a lift in his work...for it appears to be a perilous tension with the cause in the United States at the present time." On the front of this letter is another letter written by Isaac Hopper to Richard Allen in New York on November 1, 1840 in regards to assisting John A. Collins in his mission to spread the antislavery cause.
