Letter from Lucy Stone, West Brookfield, [Massachusetts], to Samuel May, 1851 Aug[ust] 5
Description:
Lucy Stone writes to Samuel May reporting that they had "good meetings at Ware" on Saturday and Sunday evening, where both "the attendance and attention were good." She mentions she was able to procure another subscriber to the Liberator "so that now three Liberators go there." Stone asks May if she should travel through Stoughton to Plymouth County at the end of August and thanks him for facts about colonization that he sent her. In the postscript, she tells May that she "ought to make return of my collections to the soc[iety]" but she does not know "how to make an account. I don't know how we are paid for the conventions," she says.
