Letter from Experience Billings, Foxborough, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston Chapman, 1839 June 29
Description:
Experience Billings writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to asking for advance about the kind of bonnets she should make for the anti-slavery fair. She has found that there are very few abolitionists in Keene, New Hampshire, where "I have found them wilfully ignorant & but..were willing to read the papers I carried." She also asks if they can get Garrison to lecture in Foxborough.
