Letter from Ann Mary Houghton, Dedham, [Massachusetts], to Maria Weston, 1839 April 15
Description:
Ann Mary Houghton writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to circulating the "Cradle of Liberty." She fears she will not be able to obtain more names for it because of the many subscribers to the "Massachusetts Abolitionist." The money raised will go to her husband in the hopes that it may defray state debt. They will do everything in their power to circulate the paper and obtain names.
