Description:
The National Freedmen's-Aid Union of Great Britain and Ireland sent this resolution that was passed at their last meeting of the Executive Committee to William Lloyd Garrison. In the resolution they "tender their hearty congratulations to Wm. Lloyd Garrison Eq., on his arrival and reception in this country; in living to witness the Emancipation of Four Millions of Slaves in the United States of America." They also invite Garrison to their next annual meeting in Birmingham. The resolution is signed by the chair of the meeting, W.H. Warton, and four secretaries, Arthur Albright, John Taylor, Aspinall Hampson, and Thoams Phillips.
