Letter from Mary Anne Estlin, Clifton, [England], to Francis Jackson Garrison, 1877 July 26
Description:
Mary Anne Estlin writes to Francis Jackson Garrison regarding his meeting with "our beloved friend Mrs. Nichol." She writes of her looking forward to seeing him North Wales & joining him in Liverpool or in St. Asaph. Miss Harriet-Lupton has written her a scheme of arrangements for visiting her and meeting Mr. Garrison. She discusses her travel arrangements in the upcoming weeks with the intention of seeing Frank. She writes of hearing of his visit to Newcastle. She writes of forming several papers and articles which her father prepared to be published at different times, and her hopes of publishing them in a book. She writes of interviews published in a journal of 1846 with Mr. Garrison, H.C. Wright, R.D. Webb, and many others and explains how delightful it is to have "this renewal of communion with the survivors of that period." On the last sheet, she inquires into who she should send the "Shields" of July to with the report of the Conference because she has extra copies. She says she sent it to his two brothers, to Mr. May, Mrs. Chapman, Miss Pugh, and others.
