Letter from Mary Anne Estlin, Bristol, [England], to James Miller M'Kim, 1853 July 31.
Description:
Mary Anne Estlin writes to James Miller McKim regarding her disappointment in him not visiting. She writes of the danger of her father holding "continuous and exciting conversation" while he is bedridden but still wishes McKim would come. She writes that the "few friends who have been admitted to his room have generally produced more exhaustion than refreshments from the fact that they were traitors (as he thought) needed some effort of conversation on his past." She also writes of plans if he does decide to visit.
