Letter from Henry Clarke Wright, Randolph, [Massachusetts], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]59 Oct[ober] 17th
Description:
Henry Clarke Wright writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking him to immediately send word if he will "speak in Portland Dec[ember] 18th" then he "can arrange my own course accordingly." Wright explains that he has agreed to be Garrison's substitute if he will not go but he "wish[es] to go to Southern N.Y. & Northern Penn[sylvania] about that time." He also discusses letters he sent to William Robson and Elizabeth Pease Nichol, before telling Garrison that he "do[es] not expect to be in the city this week."
Holograph, signed.
Title devised by cataloger.
Above the salutation, Wright has written another note asking Garrison to tell Robert (probably Robert Folger Wallcut) to "send any letters for me to the Address within."
