John Greenleaf Whittier writes to William Lloyd Garrison about a circular issued "relative to our old & noble f[rien]d Geo[rge] Thompson." Whittier says that "I wish I was rich for his sake" but encloses $2 for him along with his "fervent desire for his trestorial to health & Happiness." Whittier also comments on Wendell Phillips "noble speech", calling it "one of his best."
