Letter from Sojourner Truth, Salem, [Ohio], to William Lloyd Garrison, [18]51 August 28
Description:
Sojourner Truth writes to William Lloyd Garrison asking how much she is "indebted to Mr. Yerrington for the printing." She asks Garrison to send her the bill so she can "know how much I have yet to pay him." Truth says she "has sold but few books during the summer" but expects "to do better at the conventions which are now being held." She then asks Garrison to send more books "without delay - I may get out of books before they arrive."
