Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper with the number "24" written in pencil above the salutation. On verso, the letter is addressed to "William L. Garrison Esq Boston" and along the spine edge "Miss Crandall's Portrait." is also written in black ink. On the fore side of the page, there is the remnant of a red seal.
