Letter from Elizur Wright, New York, to Amos Augustus Phelps, 1835 Jan[uary] 13
Description:
Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding his approval for Phelps' plan of laboring in Massachusetts, suggesting that "the monthly payment plan ought to be started and drawn ahead." He does not believe that Mr. [Samuel Joseph] May is the right man "to secure the abolition standard and plant it as we wish to see it planted, in all the churches of Massachusetts."
