Description:
John Greenleaf writes to Amos A. Phelps regarding an invitation to attend a meeting at Amesbury. He writes that he has "done the very thing which I balmed thee & Garrison for: written a long letter to Garrison, upon the...business. I refrained as long as possible. If it does no good, it could do much harm-for it is as pointless as a pumpkin." He also reports on the Texas Business in Congress and has "written to our Representation."
