<mods:abstract>Alfred Webb writes to Francis Jackson Garrison stating that his "loss indeed has been very great - your brother's loss." Webb describes a death he witnessed in New York Harbor and asks "Where is Mrs. Chapman?", requesting Garrison send him her address if she is in Paris. He also sends his "love & best wishes to your father" [William Lloyd Garrison] and expresses his hope for Garrison to visit him in Dublin. Before ending the letter, Webb asks for "an address where a letter is certain to be always forwarded to you".</mods:abstract>
