Description:
G. W. Richards writes to Charles Sumner about two pamphlets he owns, one about Denmark Vesey's 1822 uprising and another which includes, "detailed accounts of all the insurrections that have transpired since 1711." Richards discusses wanting these pamphlets to be republished along with a "brief history of slavery from the colonial times." Richards then asks Sumner to direct the enclosed [not included] to William Lloyd Garrison as he is "not acquainted with the exact address."
