Text from Brockton and South Shore District Master Craftsmen Series: William B. White, here shown at the sole laying machine, is one of the old school of shoemakers who can build a shoe from start to finish. Forty years ago, when he was but ten years of age, he started making shoes for his father, learning from him step by step the intricacies of custom shoemaking. He has always been employed in the Brockton and South Shore District, being connected with several factories making high grade shoes. For the last five years, he has been associated with L.A. Crossett Co. of North Abington.
