Notes:
Work to clear the remains of the damaged buildings was delayed as spectators came to Bridgewater to see the devastation. John J. Kelly, dean of men, organized establishing temporary classroom space. The large basement of Woodward Dormitory and the gymnasium were transformed into classrooms. The reception room in Woodward became the music room. Cora A. Newton, supervisor of teacher practice training, organized arrangements to double the number of students practice teaching in their home towns, thus alleviating the immediate lack of sufficient dormitory rooms.
