The Ivy March was a traditional component of the Bridgewater Normal School graduation ceremony until the 1960s. Students in the junior class (dressed in white) proceded from the Administration Building (now known as Boyden Hall), followed by the graduating seniors (in caps and gowns). The Senior class officers ceremoniously planted an ivy sprig by the exterior of the Administration Building and a bronze plaque was affixed to the side of the building indicating where each class's ivy was planted. Only 3 of these plaques remain: 1928, 1935, and 1961.
