The team finished the 1909 season with a record of 2 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie under the leadership of Head coach George Affleck and team Captain John Brock. This was Affleck's first season coaching at Springfield College, and he continued to coach for 15 more seasons. He ended his coaching career with a record of 65 wins, 21 losses, and 14 tie, a .720 winning percentage.
