View of a kitchen fireplace in the homestead and birthplace of William Penn Brooks (President, Mass. Agricultural College, 1905-1906) in Scituate (now Norwell), Massachusetts. It is believed that this homestead was built in or about 1723 by Nathaniel Brooks II. Nathaniel VI was the father of President Brooks. Note the hearth oven to the right.
