'Charles Melahoures emigrated from Greece during the great migration from southern Europe in 1920. He married Rena Comenos of Lynn, Massachusetts, one of seven children of a Greek immigrant, in 1933. They raised three girls, all of whom went on to college. Daughters Sylvia and Carole married and moved away from Plymouth. Daughter, Constance (Connie) remained single and pursued her education career, having taught at Cold Spring and ending up at West Elementary as Vice Principal, retring in 2003. She has been active in the community, being a founding member of the Plymouth Taskforce to End Homelessness and her church Christ Episcopal Parish since then.
