'My mum Jadwiga came over from Poland to Brockton in the mid 70s. She followed her large family here, who first arrived in Brockton around 1930. The doll in the photo was a gift from my dad's family in Poland. The doll is wearing traditional Polish folk dress. My mum was so proud of the couch she's sat on--it was one of my family's first expensive purchases. Pictured: myself Joanne Zygmunt as a baby and my mum Jadwiga 'Jackie' Zygmunt.
