The Secret Case of the Space Station Stowaways book launch
Description:
'I had spent two years writing a science mystery novel for ages 9-12, 'The Secret Case of the Space Station Stowaways.' The book was published by Tumblehome Learning, Inc. as part of their Galactic Academy of Science series. This night was my book launch at the McAuliffe Center, a location where I actually did some of my writing for inspiration. I was shocked that more than 100 people attended and most of them asked me to autograph my book. I was inspired to write the book by kismet. I was working with the publisher at the time and they were looking for someone to write a space-themed book for kids. I loved space science since I was a teen so volunteered to do it. Soon after I wrote the book I became a NASA Space Science Ambassador. Pictured: my friend Janet Trask and myself Pat Monteith.
