'This is a photo of the 100th anniversary celebration of the funding of the Brockton Christopher Columbus Lodge #216 of the Order of the Sons of Italy. Our lodge pre-dated the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts. We were active in charitable events, gave out scholarships. Our purpose is to preserve and celebrate our Italian American heritage. One of our members, Louis Tarangino, is a POW survivor from WWII. Fighter Rocky Maricano was a member of our lodge.
