  <mods:abstract>Henry Dickinson Born in Patterson, N.J._Son of Isaac Dickinson_by occupation a Painter_Married_At the age of 29 years on 12th March, 1862, enlisted for 3 years in the 1st Reg. Massachusetts Heavy Artillery, Company “D”. This company, except for a brief period at Newbern N.C., was during its term of service stationed at Ft. Warren, Boston Harbor, doing garrison duty. But part of the company was detached for duty at Newbern with, which, {???} Dickinson went. There is nothing of special {moment} to {???} {???} with Dickinson’s history, it being uneventful. He was discharged soon after the close of the war with his company, though he could not {gain} exact date.</mods:abstract>
