Alexander Burnett Born in Leith, Scotland,_Son of Andrew Burnett,_by occupation a Cooper,_Married,_at the age of 36 enlisted for nine months in the 46th Regiment of Infantry, Mass. Vols. Company D. Mustered into service September 25th 1862. He served in all duties and movements._Goldsboro expedition, Trent Road reconnoissances, at Plymouth, Gum Swamp affair, and Maryland campaign,_from the formation of the company until its return to Chicopee July 21st 1863. Mustered out of service, July 29th, 1863, at Springfield, Mass. Died in Chicopee Aug 20 1892.
