Holiday Card from President and Mrs. Wilbert E. Locklin, 1977
Description:
This Holiday Card was sent out for Christmas 1977 by Springfield College President and Mrs. Wilbert E. Locklin. The sending of Holiday Cards are a Springfield College tradition, with the cards normally using images of the campus or school life. A lamppost with bows and covered in snow was used for this one. The lamppost was in front of the Doggett Memorial President's House, seen in the background. The Doggett Memorial President's House was built in October 1959, and was replaced in 2001 by the current presidents house. Inside is an original holiday poem written for the Springfield College Community. It is not known who wrote this.
