Building plans of the Massachusetts Association of Paraplegics
Description:
Briefly detailing the goal of MAP to construct suitable housing for people with physical disabilities. The association divides people with disabilities into those who are independent, those who cannot work in the community but could under sheltered area conditions, and those who need attendant care. The main goal is to make proper housing available in proper sites, as there are none available in Massachusetts at any price point. MAP proposes building a three hundred unit complex which would be occupied by people with physical disabilities as well as able-bodied families of moderate to low income. An appendix discusses the West End Project Site which is in need of development.
