Edward Hitchcock letter to Sylvester Hovey, 1827 July 4
Description:
A letter to Sylvester Hovey in which Edward Hitchcock writes about some issues with a bill for some books and periodicals from a General Howe. Hitchcock writes that since the bill is still not settled anyway, he would like to have Howe send him a few more books as well. Hitchcock also mentions Hovey's new position at Williams College, saying he is glad for him but would have preferred to have him at Amherst College.
