Four plates printed from illustrations depicting different slabs of rock with vegetation fossils found in Mansfield, Massachusetts. These are plates 21, 23, 24, and 25 in Edward Hitchcock's "Final Report on the Geology of Massachusetts." Plate 21 shows two rock slabs, plate 23 shows one, plate 24 shows three, and plate 25 shows three. It is unclear who the artist is.
