Description:
A letter to Benjamin Silliman in which Edward Hitchcock expresses his pleasure at receiving a copy of Silliman's book describing his travels in Europe. Hitchcock additionally informs Silliman that he is working on increasing his collection of fossil footmarks, and that his oldest son is getting married in Connecticut soon so Hitchcock will try to visit Silliman around that time.
