As a young child in the 1950's Lauren Richmond often found herself accompanying her parents, Larry and Helene Richmond, to Friday night cocktail parties, mostly in the East End, after art gallery openings. To keep her occupied it was suggested that she circulate her autograph book among the guests. Little did she know that decades later it would be not only a personal keepsake but a piece of Provincetown history. Many of the artists very generously did small drawings in addition to their signatures.
