Photo of Long Point Light in 1979 taken by the National Park Service. An 1859 accounting of all the vessels which entered Provincetown harbor each month during the winter. A 1961 article about a bottle tossed into the sea by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth H. Dunham while en route to Panama and discovered 1000 miles away in Donna, TX. An 1898 account of the schooner Joseph E. Johnson's crew sixteen of whom were thought to be lost at sea but who survived and returned to town in their dories to a heroes welcome. Lastly an article about a seineboat, Commodore, that was caught in a half gale but made the captain made it safely to shore between Wood End and Long Point. The boat was a total wreck.
