Louisa talks about her upcoming trip to visit Sadie. She notes that Sadie will have to unhitch and feed Gyp upon her arrival in Monmouth. Louisa is concerned about whether or not the roads will be safe for a horse and carriage to travel on, and asks Sadie to decide whether she should travel by carriage or on foot. She goes on to talk about church meetings and the fund-raising she has been doing for the church, and promises to go into more detail in person. Louisa also talks about collecting crops.
