Letters, photographs, Swiss passports, and other materials from the family of Katharine Halsey Dodge (1895-1980), a teacher who lived at 26 Orient Avenue, Newton Centre, in the 1920s, and at 112 Sargent Street, Newton Corner, in the 1970s. Family members represented in the collection include her stepfather, the Rev. Edward T. Sullivan, rector of Trinity Church, Newton Centre; her sister, Elise Courvoisier Dodge (1890-1974); her mother, also named Elise Courvoisier Dodge (1867-1946), and her great-great-grandfather, August Saltzmann, a watchmaker who immigrated to New York from Switzerland in 1816. The collection includes several love letters to Katharine Dodge from an unnamed woman, "Boobie," in 1920, when Katharine was away in France.
