'Spring 1949: Chinese Exclusion Act fractured Chinese-American families but the War Brides Act of 1945 allowed women like Foong Ying Yee and May Soon Yee to enter the United States of America and Chinese-American families began to form. Pictured, from back to front, left to right: Harry Yee, Melvin Yee, Eddie Yee, Raymond Yee, David Yee, Walter Yee, (front) Foong Ying Yee, May Soon Yee, and myself Cynthia Yee.'
