'I have always been keen on boats. In 1995, my son, five of his rugby friends and I set off to France from Chichester. The trip should take 16 hours. Unfortunately, after a half hour, when I was down below, one of the boy's tried to take a short cut and put us on a mudbank. They were very cross. They played ball on the mud. Six hours later, we floated off and continued the trip. Everything else went fine and, fifteen and one-half hours later we were in Barfleur, France. Pictured: my son Robin Bryant. Location: On a mudbank.'
