'We were one of the first homeowners in 'Alpine Estates' which was built on land purchased from Louie McMahon. Sometime around 1956 the name of the street became Loumac Road in his honor. It is off Drury Lane which became a cut through from Glen Road to Middlesex Avenue. I used to go down a path through the woods and come out by the then Swain School. I was late to school more than I should have been! When asked where I came from, the answer is always Wilmington. It was and still is a great place to grow up. Thanksgiving celebration is a happy and vivical memory of my family. I still have the apron she is wearing. Pictured, from left to right: my father Joseph D. Harrington (1903-1972) and my mother Marie A. Harrington MacMullin (1914-2001). Location: Loumac Road.'
