'In the 1950s, the beach area just back from the coast experienced a building boom. My dad, Bernie Krupp, built our cottage at 85 Chickatawbut Avenue. We bought the land from Mae Thomas Stetson. Her family held the original land grant from the king. In this photo, taken by my mother Marguerite Kiley Krupp, my sisters are 'helping' with the landscaping.
