'My mother's family owned a cottage on Columbia Road in Fieldston. My mother (Geraldine) grew up spending every summer there. I spent some summers in Marshfield also. Geraldine would always reminisce about happy summers here--ballroom dances, learning to drive, on the beach with 'the gang.' She was born in 1913 and summered here until her mid-20s. Pictured, from left to right: my grandparents Gerald and Margaret Sullivan, my mother Geraldine Sullivan Flaherty, my 'aunt' and family friend Mary McLaughlin, and my uncle Paul Sullivan. Location: Fieldston.'
