'I just discovered this photo of my great grandfather, taken by my great aunt Elizabeth Gillies in 1868. He was a riveter. He received a citation for his work on the riveting by hand on Malden's water tower from Governor Bates. He also did riveting on Tremont Temple where he almost lost his footing, but his hand stuck to the frost on the steel so he was saved. Pictured: Archibald Gillies.'
