'This photo represents the beginning of a life-long friendship and my husband-to-be's love of Eastham. He went into the military a year later and was paralyzed in Vietnam. He wanted to come back to Eastham because he loved it and it was the last place he lived while ambulatory. I am still here. We were married for 29 years. Pictured, from left to right: Robert Walker Smith and my husband Thomas J. Conners. Location: Walker Road.'
