'Charlie Bouley, my father, played the clarinet. Al Bouley, my uncle, played the trumpet. Donald Giard, my uncle by marriage to my father's sister Jane Bouley, played the trumpet. This was the town hall band they all played in. Many of these people were good friends who had many connections to each other.
