'Large Italian family. Came to the U.S. in late 1890s. Louis Volpe moved to Newton from the North End of Boston. He was a cousin of John Volpe, former MA Governor. Louis married Trinity Cardona and had six children. Trinity died three weeks after giving birth to Leslie. Louis eventually married Aida Putini. The family lived in Newton Center and spent time each summer in Natick at 'the beach.' I am the daughter and oldest child of A. George Volpe. I moved to Natick with my family in 1990.
