Isaac Fessenden House--commander of clipper ship 'Mountain Wave'
Description:
'Owned by Betsy Small after the Fessendens. Struck by lightening and burned to the ground, pre-1920. Went across the street and watched it burn. By evening, friends had her moved to the unused Baptist Parsonage--furniture, bed, food moved in. Built a Sears 'Built-to-Measure' house in mid 1920s--still there. Elizabeth Abbott (mother) lived there. Grandson and family live there now. House next door is mistakenly called the Isaac Fessenden House. Location: 2129 Main Street, Central Brewster near Coffee Shop.'
